Yummy-Healthy Strawberry Shortcake Cake
Hello, again! Here is my first suggested recipe to try... These are the ingredients:
-Betty Crocker Angel Food Cake Mix
-SUGAR
-Lots and lots of strawberries (Better fresh, if possible, not store bought)
Bake cake according to instructions on box. While the cake is cooling/baking, Cut the green leaves off of the strawberries and cut them in half, no matter what size. Gently pour strawberries into a very large bowl. Coat ALL the strawberries in a layer of sugar. Careful not to destroy any berries, stir sugar throughout the bowl. Let the mixture sit. After cutting cake and putting on a saucer, use a big spoon and cover cake in sweet, juicy strawberries. Enjoy!
I made this for my grandpa when we visited him, after he had been realeased from the hospital. (Life-threatening condition, but he's recovering now.) It was a hit! My parents, sister, grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins all loved it! (I think it was partly the fact that the strawberries were picked by my family out of my grandpa's garden!) Anyway, this is a spectacular recipe perfect for summer bashes or 4th of July parties! Have fun with it... I found my strawberry mixture recipe on Google... you never know what you can find on that site! :)
